Set up in 2001, the Dot NAME universal domain name extension is the sole TLD supposed to be for personal websites only. These domains can include personal or fictitious names, nicknames and/or other designations people are famous by. Initially, only third-level registrations were possible, so if you desired to purchase john.doe.name, you were required to do that under .doe.name. In 2004, however, the registration process was liberalized and second-level registrations were also permitted. Already taken 3rd-level domains remained online.

Through our company, you can order your .NAME domain for a time interval between 1 and 10 years. You will be able to switch the WHOIS information, to park your domain, to create Custom DNS records, etc. You can also move over an active domain to our company if you obtain its EPP transfer authorization key from the present registration service provider and we will renew it when the transfer has been finalized. There are no special terms on who can book a dot NAME domain, but in order to preserve the idea behind its establishment alive, the Registry may check who the Registrant is and if there is no connection between the owner and the actual domain, the registration may be challenged.

The dot NAME extension is amongst the extensions that support internationalized domains, so we can also register a domain in any language at no extra cost. In this way, your dot NAME domain will be recognized in your country or region with the right spelling in your native language.
