SPF Protection
Read more about SPF (SenderPolicy Framework) - how you can enable it and how it can help protect your mailboxes.
Sender Policy Framework, or SPF, is a verification system, that is intended to prevent the so-called email spoofing where an email message is sent from one email address, but to seem as being sent from another, usually with the objective to fraud the recipient in some way. When SPF protection is activated for a domain name, an exclusive record is generated for it in the Domain Name System and all DNS servers worldwide receive it. The record features all e-mail servers that are allowed to send authentic messages from an email address under the domain. When a message is sent, the very first DNS server it encounters checks the SPF record and if the sending server is permitted, the message is forwarded to the targeted receiver. If, however, the sending server is not included in the SPF record for the given domain, the email message won't be submitted and it will be discarded. If you use this solution, it will prevent third parties from sending spam e-mails which appear to have been sent from you.

SPF Protection in Website Hosting
The SPF protection function is provided as standard with each and every
website hosting plan that we supply and you are able to use it without any difficulty in order to protect the e-mails for each domain name hosted in your account. The service is controlled from the Emails section of our hi-tech, and easy-to-use Hepsia Control Panel. All it takes to enable the protection is to type the IP of the mail server plus its hostname - mail.server.com, for instance. As soon as the protection is active, only this server will be able to send emails from email addresses generated under the domain name that you have picked. Your email addresses can be managed by another provider, but when we manage them in addition to your web site, you can also activate the option for your messages to be sent only when the domain features our MX records. This option gives you even better security as only our server will be authorized to send out email messages from your mailboxes and you will have better control. If you have any questions or if you experience any sort of troubles with this particular service, you will be able to contact our technical support team anytime and they'll help you without delay.

SPF Protection in Semi-dedicated Servers
If you have a
semi-dedicated server account with us, you'll be able to protect your email addresses by enabling the SPF protection service for every domain name in your account with only a couple of clicks. You can do this in the Emails section of our Hepsia Control Panel that is included with the semi-dedicated accounts and even in case you have no previous practical experience with such issues, you won't have any kind of trouble to enable the protection. All that you'll need to do will be to select a domain from a drop-down list and after that type in the mail server hostname and IPv4 or IPv6 address. The moment the new record propagates, messages from your e-mail addresses will be delivered worldwide only if they're sent from that specific server. If your emails are handled by us and not by some third-party provider, you'll also be able to take advantage of an option for emails to be sent only when the domain has our MX records and this is the safest option. Should you have any questions about thisfunction, you can contact our support crew 24/7.
